Standards Support in Sourcing

Having worked on the development of the British Standard Collaborative Business Relationship Assessments, BS 11000-1 and BS 11000-2, we are now heavily involved in the development of the new International Standard on Outsourcing, ISO 37500. The Draft International Standard (ISO/DIS 37500) was approved by international vote in results published on 7th January this year. The ISO Development Committee (PC/259) is meeting in the Netherlands in May to review the comments received and produce the Final Draft International Standard (ISO/FDIS 37500) in the summer of 2014.

One day Masterclass

Over the past few months we have been running our popular One day Masterclasses for a range of organisations in the Rail and Construction industries and also for SMEs looking to benefit from working with BS 11000 principles and good industry practices. We are currently planning for future events. A short description of the Masterclass, potential attendees, benefits, contents and presenters are set out below. If you would like to attend one of our Masterclasses please contact us by email at

Achieving success in business collaboration

““..the Masterclass was most relevant to my business plans and your relaxed styles of presentation provided such an enjoyable learning experience”. Neil Wakeman, Director, NW Structural Consultants

Who should attend?

The Masterclass has been developed to improve the abilities of the key people, from any size of company, SME to Plc, public sector body to social enterprise, who have responsibility for developing, implementing and running collaborative relationships with other organisations. These collaborative relationships could include (but are not limited to) joint development projects, research, outsourcing, procurement and supply-chain relationships.

Why should you attend?

1. Develop your collaborative business relationships to create maximum value for money - greater than your organisation can achieve alone.

2. Prepare your organisation strategically for collaboration by assessing and selecting the right potential collaborative partners - choosing the wrong partner could cost you £millions in wasted management time and effort.

3. Take the opportunity to learn from experience and avoid the common pitfalls in collaborative relationships.

What will the Masterclass cover?

This one-day Masterclass will cover the use of relationship management best practice (following the principles within the BS 11000: Collaborative Business Relationships Standard) that can enable the development and implementation of successful collaborative working relationships. This Masterclass will provide an introduction to ‘The Five Pillars of Collaboration’TM and includes useful management tools that you can deploy immediately within your organisation.
